At the beginning of 2026, and again in April, we traveled Nepal: Kathmandu Valley east to the mist ridges of the Kanchenjunga range, then west to the lake country around Pokhara. We scouted multi-generational family farms, roadside giants, temple corridors, and mountainside terraces held in wild plants.
We are now opening this route to a handful of guests — a private, small-group field expedition through three living landscapes of Nepal, led by Landrace Bureau with Joseph Madan Koirala.

The package in Nepal includes local transport on the route, lodging, breakfast, a local guide — Joseph Madan Koirala, field hosts Landrace Bureau, and time at family farms and wild landrace sites in each region, International flights, visa, travel insurance, and personal gear are not included.
What you can expect is to explore Kathmandu (1-3 Days, after travel through remote regions, experience Nepalese and Newari culture, visit Temples/sacred sites, stand in front of giants wild flowering plants, film/document and visit multigenerational heirloom family farms.
The 1-week route runs Kathmandu west to Pokhara where you will explore one of the most beautiful regions in Nepal. The 2-week route continues toward Rolpa where you will explore Himalayan culture beyond the reach of civilizations.
We provide guiding, lodging, transport, and breakfast. Food along the route is inexpensive, and there are plenty of local and other options. We eat with the farmers and their families when we are hosted, and we will also get into mountain honey, teas, fruit, herbs, and whatever else is good that day. It will not be a rigid meal plan, and you can buy whatever you want.
